Cam chat
Random is the fast way in. When you already like someone’s face, open her profile and start a private conversation on purpose, in the mode you prefer.
Scroll the online list or open the Live tab. Every face there belongs to someone around right now.
Look at her photos, follow her, or send a message straight from the profile page.
Call her from her profile, or tap Start and let the match screen pick someone for you.
You open the site, tap Start, and the match screen connects you with one person who is free right now. Video, voice and text all live on that same screen. There is no sign-up form, no room to join and no audience; it is two people, and either one can move on.
The first visit takes under a minute. Your browser asks for the camera and microphone once, the search runs for a few seconds, and then a face fills the screen. If you get stuck, the step-by-step tour of every screen walks through the online list, profiles and messages as well.
You land on the match screen as a guest. Nothing to fill in, no email, no password.
The switch sits at the bottom of the match screen. Video asks your browser for the camera and mic once.
Say something real. If the chat goes flat, Next ends it for both of you and the search starts again.
That is the whole loop. People who use random video chat a lot tend to settle into a rhythm: a few quick skips, then one chat that runs for twenty minutes because you both started laughing at the same thing. The cam chat guide covers that rhythm in more detail, including how to skip someone without being rude and what to do when nobody seems to stay.
A note on accounts, since people ask: there is no registration before your first video chat. You are a guest from the moment the page opens, with a display name the site picks for you. Change it later if you like, add a photo if you want people to recognise you in the online list, or never touch either. Nothing about the matching changes.
So yes, this is random video chat with no sign-up. You can be talking to someone before you would have finished typing an email address.
Video is the default for good reason: a smile tells you more in two seconds than ten messages. Some nights, though, your roommate is asleep, your room light is terrible, or you just want to hear a voice before you put your face on screen. That is what the other two modes are for.
Audio mode is closer to a phone call with a stranger than most people expect. Without a picture you listen harder, and a laugh carries more than it would on camera. Text is slower and calmer, good for the first five minutes with someone whose accent you are still getting used to. Plenty of chats start in text, move to voice once it is going well, and end up face to face on camera an hour later with someone found again through the online list.
| Video | Audio | Text | |
|---|---|---|---|
| What she gets | Your face, your room, your reactions | Your voice and nothing else | The words you type |
| Good for | Flirting, a real face-to-face, reading a smile | Bad light, late nights, headphones on | A shared room, a shy start, a language gap |
| Translation | None, so speak clearly | None, so keep it simple | Messages can translate automatically |
| Moving on | Next | Next | Next |
When both cameras are on, it becomes what people call cam to cam, and a little preparation goes a long way: light in front of you, phone at eye level, earbuds in.
Some nights you would rather watch than talk. The Live tab, reached from the online list, shows girls streaming right now; you can comment, send a gift and ask for a one-on-one from inside the stream. Our live cam chat page explains how that hand-off works.
Mostly light, angle and one specific question. The other person decides fast whether to stay, and a dark room with a camera pointed at the ceiling loses that race every time. Fix those two things before your first match and the third, what you say, gets much easier.
None of this needs equipment. A quick vid chat over lunch needs nothing more than earbuds. A phone from the last few years has a better camera than most laptops, and a bedside lamp turned towards you is enough. What makes a video chat fun is usually not the picture quality anyway; it is being able to see someone react to what you just said.
Two lines that tend to start a real conversation, because they invite more than a one-word answer (the guide to video chat with girls has more):
And if it still goes quiet, that is fine. Some matches are just a wave and a Next. A friendly exit costs you one second and keeps the whole place nicer for everyone.
From more than 50 countries, so somebody is awake whatever the time. Roughly one in five users is in the US, so US evenings are always busy, and the UK, Germany, Canada and France are among the bigger groups after that. Plenty of people log on from Latin America, Africa and Southeast Asia too.
That spread changes how a chat feels. You might talk to someone in Bogotá on her lunch break while you are winding down in Chicago, or practice your Spanish with a girl in Caracas who wants to practice her English. Text messages can translate automatically, which helps when your shared vocabulary runs out; video and voice are not translated, so slow down and keep sentences short.
There is no country filter or gender filter on the match screen. Most people on the other side are girls, and the mix of places is part of the appeal: a new video chat really can mean a new time zone, a new accent and a new view out of someone’s window.
If you want someone on a similar clock, try a few different hours over a week and notice who turns up. The mix shifts with the time of day as different parts of the world come home from work or wake up, which is why the same hour can feel very different from one night to the next.
Because CamlooCam is a mouthful, and Camloo is quicker to say. It is the same site either way: the same match screen, the same Live tab, the same coins. Most people just call us Camloo, and some type it as camloon or cammloo; either way, it lands here.
The name itself is two halves. “Cam” because the camera is the point, and “loo” because it sounded like a place you drop into for a minute and end up staying an hour. We doubled the cam because it looked right in the logo. The about page has the longer story and the list of things we decided not to build.
If you are new and want to know what you are walking into before tapping anything, start with safety on CamlooCam and the page on coins and free matches. Both are short, and both answer the questions people usually ask in their first week.
Whatever name you use, every random video call here is free to start: new users get free matches, and the Reward Center adds more.
One thing we never changed: the site opens straight onto the people, not onto a sign-up wall or a quiz about your interests. That was the idea behind it from the start. You came to talk to someone, so the fastest route to a face on screen wins, and everything else (follows, messages, coins, the Live tab) sits one tap to the side for when you want it.
Before your first match
Still unsure? The add-to-home-screen guide covers phones, and the support address is on the contact page.
Yes. Camloo is simply the short name a lot of people use for CamlooCam. Same site, same match screen, same people on the other side; the shorter version is just quicker to type.
No. Video chat with strangers here needs no login: you enter as a guest the moment the page loads and can tap Start straight away. A photo or a new display name is optional, now or later.
It is free to start, with free matches for newcomers and more from the Reward Center on the match screen. The coins page covers what happens after that.
You can. The match screen picks for you; the online list lets you pick yourself: open any profile there to follow her, send a message or call her directly.
It ends the current chat for both people and starts a fresh search in the same mode. Nobody has to explain why, and it works the same in video, voice and text.
Yes. It runs in Safari, Chrome and other current browsers on iPhone and Android. You can also add it to your home screen so it opens full screen like an app.
It does. On a laptop or desktop the match screen uses your webcam, and the online list shows more faces per row. Any up-to-date browser is fine.
Pick Audio on the match screen to talk without video, or Text to type.
Typed messages can switch into your language automatically, so each of you reads the other in your own language. Video and voice are not translated, so short, slow sentences work best there.
Follow her while you are still talking. She stays in your list afterwards, and her profile lets you message her or call her another day.
Sure. The Live tab on the online list shows girls streaming right now. You can watch, comment and send a gift, and ask for a 1v1 from inside the stream when you feel ready.
No. Streams on CamlooCam come from the girls in the Live tab. Users watch, comment, send gifts and ask for a 1v1, but cannot broadcast themselves.
From more than 50 countries. Roughly one in five people is in the US, and the UK, Germany, Canada and France are among the bigger groups after that.
Your surname, home address, workplace and anything that links your face to where you live. If someone keeps pushing for those, tap Next and report them.
Both sides decide fast when every match is random, and that is normal. Good light, a camera at eye level and a specific first question keep far more chats going.
Small virtual presents you send with coins, during a chat or in a live stream. They are a way of saying you are enjoying the conversation, and they are always optional.
